Measuring tables from the Flexline series: adaptable and resilient
The Flexline tables are part of the PanelLine line, which is designed for measuring geometric properties on panels. With the Flexline series measuring tables, the manufacturer Willtec offers a compact and versatile platform for the length measurement of workpieces. A wide range of different tasks can be performed on these tables. A total of four measuring axes are available. These are used to measure the length, width and height as well as the angle. In this way, it is possible to carry out angle testing in addition to pure plate measurement. Various forms of bore depth measurements are also possible, including checking vertical and horizontal bore distances. Even complex measuring tasks, such as measuring grooves or checking contours, are no problem on the tables of the Flexline series. Furthermore, it is possible to check the squareness at different points of workpieces. With its features, the Flexline inspection tables are interesting for a variety of industries. For example, the inspection tables can be used in the wood industry, glass processing, sheet metal processing or plastics technology, as well as in similar scenarios.
Individually configurable measuring tables for length measurement
One strength of the series is the freedom of configuration. The measuring tables are available from the manufacturer in several different variants. For example, the length of the table can be between 1,000 and 5,000 mm. The width of the measuring station can be selected in steps between 50 and 500 mm. The height for the test pieces can also be configured. It is therefore possible to create a table for panels with heights between 10 or 100 mm. The Flexline tables from Willtec are therefore very adaptable to individual conditions. Very compact measuring tables can be created for small plates. Alternatively, the large models are suitable for measuring panels with lengths of up to five metres.
The structure of the test tables can also be individually configured. The manufacturer offers several options for the tables in this series. In addition to the classic base with feet, there are, for example, castors for the Flexline test tables. This makes the tables movable and mobile. Alternatively, a substructure with cabinet is available. This robust metal cabinet can be used as storage for accessories or other extras needed at the test workstation.Precise length measurements for high quality standards
In manufacturing and quality control, nothing is as important as measurement accuracy. Only if precision is given, it is possible to guarantee high quality standards as well as continuity. The tables of the Flexline series have a system accuracy of +/- 0.2 mm. The measuring results are shown on a digital display. The resolution of these displays is 0.01, 0.1 or 1 mm, depending on the type. Measuring displays are available as lcd or with led. There are also systems that have a touch screen or can be controlled remotely, for example by qr or barcode. In this way, the control and display of the test stations can also be designed very individually. The displays allow preset values to be entered, which are then calibrated on the workpieces. If desired, measurement data can then be output as a target/actual comparison, so that it is possible to see at a glance whether the production parameters have been adhered to.
Integrating Flexline inspection tables into the IT infrastructure
Digitalization has now penetrated all areas. Test tables are no exception. With the appropriate display from the Willtec range, it is possible to connect the test tables directly to a computer. In this way, the measured values can be used directly and without effort in digital form. This capability is made possible by the interfaces on the displays. Willtec offers a variety of different standards so that integration is possible in the many different scenarios. The displays are available with rs-232, rs-485, usb interfaces and with direct connection for network connection. This allows connection to industrial PCs, data readout via usb or integration into the company network.
The manufacturer also provides the appropriate software to further process the data or to expand the measurement options. With this software it is possible, among other things, to calculate angles and distances or to carry out diagonal measurements. It is also possible to calculate two measurement distances or to carry out a period measurement. The software is also designed for complex analyses. In addition to measurement data evaluation and error analysis, the program also allows measurement data visualization. If desired, the data can also be output in a clear Excel spreadsheet.
